The Lenten Season of 2021 was a turning point for us at Christ Church Rochester. We practiced how to show the power and love of God in new ways; like ZOOM, Facebook Live, and YouTube streaming. We also found that our ability to share our creative gifts with each other is very satisfying. The MUSIC of ChristChurch Rochester, under the direction of Stephen Kennedy was so memorable that it deserves a place to be visited over and over. Some of the artists of ChristChurch Rochester contributed to a collection of Stations of the Cross, with Stephen Kennedy accompanying them with an original score. We have placed all these gifts below and hope they are a blessing to you all year.

Text for The Call:
Come, my Way, my Truth, my Life: Such a Way, as gives us breath: Such a Truth, as ends all strife: Such a Life, as killeth death. Come, My Light, my Feast, my Strength: Such a Light, as shows a feast: Such a Feast, as mends in length: Such a Strength, as makes his guest. Come, my Joy, my Love, my Heart: Such a Joy, as none can move: Such a Love, as none can part: Such a Heart, as joys in love.

Text for St. Teresa’s Bookmark:
Let nothing disturb thee,
Nothing affright thee
All things are passing;
God never changeth;
Patient endurance
Attaineth to all things;
Who God possesseth
In nothing is wanting;
Alone God sufficeth.

Translation: By the waters of Babylon we sat down and wept when we remembered thee, O Sion. As for our harps, we hanged them up, upon the trees that are therein

Translation: Faithful cross, above all other,
One and only noble tree:
None in foliage, none in blossom,
None in fruit thy peer may be.
Sweetest wood and sweetest iron,
Sweetest weight is hung on thee!
